11/15/2008 - ~~~ CASE SOLVED ~~~ Robbery/Assault CR# 08-26823

Pueblo Police are asking for your help in identifying the female in this picture involved in an armed robbery/assault. According to Detective Cody Wager on 11/15/08 at approx. 11:30 p.m. 39-year-old Michael Vigil and his brother, Tony Vigil, were attack by three Hispanic males with shaved heads wearing  white shirts and kaki pants at the corner of 2nd and Court Streets in downtown Pueblo. During the assault Michael Vigil was severely beaten and of this date he has undergone multiple surgeries and is still listed in critical condition. During the attack the suspects took the wallets of Michael and Tony Vigil. At approx. 1:57 a.m. Saturday morning, just after the assault, this unidentified female walked into a convenience store located at Hwy 50 and Bonforte Blvd. and purchased two 12 packs of BK soda using a Food Stamp Card from the victim’s wallet. The suspects were last seen in a light colored 4-door Impala or Honda.

 


9/23/2008 - Theft - J B Robinson Jewelers CR# 08-22706

 

Pueblo Police need your help in identifying the black male see in this photograph.

 

According to police report the suspect entered J B Robinson jewelry store located in the Pueblo Mall at approx 10:30 a.m. and asked to see their engagement rings. The male party looked at one ring and then asked to see one with a larger stone. The sales clerk then showed the suspect another ring with a larger stone. Upon receiving the expensive ring the suspect immediately turned and ran from the store.

 

The male suspect is described as a black male, in his mid 20’s, 5’11”, 200-210 lbs with short black hair, mustache and a chipped upper front tooth (left bicuspid). The male suspect was wearing a red and black “Jordan” tennis shoes, black shorts and a red and back matching shirt.

 

Police were also advised that a similar incident had happened at the Chapel Hills mall in Colorado Springs and believe the incidents may be related do to the manner in which the thefts were committed.


9/15/2008 - Robbery - Sunflower Bank Robbery CR# 08-22053

 

On 9/15/08 the Sunflower bank located at 1715 S. Pueblo Blvd. was robbed at approx. 4:47 p.m.  The suspect walked to the counter and handed the teller a note. The teller took the money out of the drawer and placed the money on the counter. The male grabbed the money and ran out of the bank. The suspect left southbound behind the Regency Square Shopping Center. The suspect was described as a white male in his 50’s, 5’6 to 5’7” tall, 170-180 lbs., white or blonde hair, and wearing a red baseball cap, gray zip-up sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark sunglasses.


8/5/2008 - Criminal Mischief - Roselawn Cemetery

   Who’s Responsible? 

Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department needs your help in attempting to locate the suspect or suspects involved in the massive property damage at Roselawn Cemetery located at 1706 Roselawn.

 

According to Sgt. Leroy Mora of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department, on 8/5/08 Deputies responded to Roselawn Cemetery in regard to a property damage. Upon their arrival Deputies found 86 historical head stones knocked over and damaged. The dollar amount of the damage to the head stones is reported to be in the range of $130,000.00. The Sheriff’s Department is hoping someone will come forward with information leading to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the destruction of so many head stones. In additional to the Crime Stopper reward, Mr. Bob Rawlings, Publisher/Editor of The Pueblo Chieftain, has offered an additional $500.00 reward.  Pueblo Crime Stoppers is hoping that the additional $500.00 Mr. Rawlings has offered will help initiate a call from the public in order to bring justice to those responsible for the annihilation of the historical head stones. 


6/16/2008 - Armed Robbery CR# 08-14821

 

Police need your help in identifying the suspects seen in these photos. According to police reports the male and female suspects pulled into the Loaf ‘n Jug store at 1201 Pueblo Blvd. to get gas. As the male was pumping the gas the female suspect walked into the store and used the restroom. The two suspects then left in a tan colored sedan with the female driving. A few minutes later the male came walking into the store from the side of the building and stated he needed to us the restroom. The male suspect then walked up to the counter to purchase some cigarettes and then ran behind the counter, waiving a knife at the clerk, and demanded the money from the cash register. The male clerk was able to get away from the male suspect and later witnessed him jumping into the tan colored sedan and fleeing the area.

The male is described a dark Hispanic male with black hair combed back, wearing a blue Red Socks #34 jersey. The female was wearing a black tank top, camouflage pants and carrying a large gray purse. Both suspects appeared to be in their late 20’s early 30’s.


3/19/2008 - Theft CR# 08-5717 & 08-5718

 

Police need your help in identifying the male seen in this picture. According to Police reports on Monday, March 10th, this male entered a Liquor Store in the Mesa Junction area and asked the clerk if he could change four quarters for a dollar. When the clerk opened the cash register the suspect reached over and grabbed several twenty-dollar bills from the register and fled the scene. Minutes later the same suspect enters another Liquor Store on the south side of town and again asked the clerk to exchange four quarters for a dollar bill. Once the clerk opened the cash register the suspect again reaches over the counter and grabbed several twenty-dollar bills. After a small chase by the clerk the suspect was scene jumping into the passenger side of a dark blue or black SUV.

 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male; in his early twenty’s wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, blue baseball cap with a white letter “E” and an unknown emblem on the brim, light blue jeans and white tennis shoes


1/23/2008 - Lottery Scam

In recent weeks Pueblo has been the target of another lottery scam. This time the suspects are contacting victims through our mail and email systems claiming to be an international lottery company. One of the fictitious names being used by these bogus companies is El Gordo Spanish Sweepstake Lottery out of Madrid Spain. This company is sending letters to victims claiming there was a mix-up and their name has now appeared on a winning lottery ticket now making them eligible for a large sum of money. However, to claim their winnings they must pay a nominal fee up front or fill out a sheet with their personal bank account information on it and send it back to this company. If you or someone you know has received one of these fraudulent letters simply throw the letter away. Remember NEVER release any personal information about you or your bank on the phone or to any business you are not familiar with. 12/11/2007 - Robbery 07-29857

Pueblo police need you help in solving an armed robbery at the Family Dollar store located at 1111 W Northern. According to police reports the suspect entered the business on 12/11/07 at approx. 6:50 p.m. and purchased two packages of Lifesavers and then left the store. Approx. 20 minutes later the suspect returns wearing the hood of his jacket or a sweatshirt over his head. The male suspect approaches the checkout counter with a toy, the hood of his sweatshirt is now pulled back from his head, and you can clearly see that the suspect is wearing a green bandana on his head. Once the suspect reaches the cashier he pulls out a large knife and points it at the cashier and started demanding money. The suspect seen here is wearing a gold colored hooded sweatshirt, a green bandana on the top of this head and dark colored pants.  The male suspect is described as young, possibly in his early 20`s, medium to dark colored skin - possibly Hispanic descent; thin build, approx 5-5 to 5`7" tall and has bad acne scarring on his face. 12/1/2007 - Robbery - Top Dollar Pawn Shop 07-28940

On 12/1/07 at approx. 1:00 p.m. a Hispanic male walked into Top Dollar Pawn, 1101 W. 4th St., with the pretense of buying a gold chain. After looking at several chains the suspect grabbed one from the clerk’s hand and ran out of the store. The clerk chased the suspect outside of the store and saw the suspect drive away in a small light blue vehicle with two other males and one female inside. A customer inside the store gave chase but was unable to obtain a license plate that came back to the suspect.

 

The suspect is described as a medium built Hispanic male, with dark short hair, and in his mid to late 20’s. In the photograph the suspect is wearing a long sleeve blue shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. 

 


9/5/2007 - Bank Robbery - Pueblo Government Agencies 07-21411

Pueblo Police need your help in identifying a female suspect in a foiled bank robbery. On Wednesday, September 5th at approx. 2:40 p.m. a female walked into the Pueblo Government Agencies Credit Union, 720 N. Greenwood and attempted to commit a robbery.

The female suspect entered the Credit Union wearing a white shirt, faded jeans, a white baseball cap with a blue bill, a blue bandanna across her face, carrying a white plastic bag and wearing latex gloves. The female walked up to a teller and demanded all her money. While making demand the female suspect panicked and turned around and fled the bank.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approx. 5`-2" tall, slender build, with light brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.


7/25/2007 - Hit & Run 07-17598

Police need your help to solve a hit & run accident involving a wheelchair bound victim.

On 7/25/07 at approx. 11:54 p.m. Dominic Nevarrez, was traveling east bound in his wheel chair, in the 1500 block of E. 1st St. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle from behind. Mr. Nevarrez was transported to a near by hospital where he suffered serious bodily injury. The suspect vehicle fled the scene leaving Mr. Nevarrez lying seriously injured in the street. Officers are hoping someone witnessed the accident and have information regarding the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle.


4/7/2007 - Theft 07-7685

Pueblo Police need your help in identifying the suspects seen in these photographs. According to police reports the suspects enter convenient stores at different times. One will distract the clerk while the other two steal cartons of cigarettes and other merchandise.

Police are looking into these suspects as being involved in additional thefts totaling over thousands of dollars.

The suspects are described as being a Hispanic male approx. 5`7 short brown hair, wearing a dark colored jacked and a white baseball cap, the 2nd suspect is being a black male, approx. 5`11, 210 lbs, with mustache & short beard. The 3rd suspect is also a Hispanic male with a short goatee and described as being approx. 5`8` tall, 150 lbs. wearing a green & brown hunting jacket over a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. All suspects appear to be in their mid 20`s to early 30`s.  


2/16/2007 - Burglary-Auto Theft 07-3475

Pueblo police need your assistance in identifying a male who is being sought in connection with a crime spree between February 16th and March 1st.

The suspect is believed responsible for a home burglary that occurred on February 16th in Pueblo’s East Side. The suspect stole a wallet, cash, keys and the victims white 2002 Honda Civic.

On February 20th the suspect broke into a vehicle in the Pueblo Mall parking lot and stole a car stereo, checkbook and a wallet.  The stolen Honda Civic was used as a getaway vehicle. 

The same day, the suspect tried to pass one of the stolen checks at the 1st Stop Store in the 2800 block of N. Elizabeth.  The cashier declined to take the check when photo ID did not match the suspect.
 
This suspect is believed to be responsible for several fraudulent credit card transactions, Theft from Merchant that occurred on February 27th, and a Hit & Run Accident on March 1st.  The wrecked, stolen Honda Civic was finally found abandoned in Mineral Palace Park on March 5th.

An image of the suspect was captured on surveillance tape and he is described as a Hispanic male with a short haircut, slight ponytail, wearing dark glasses.

 


12/12/2006 - Target Store Robbery 06-28833

Pueblo Police need your assistance in identifying a male who on December 12th, 2006 pulled out a knife and threatened a Pueblo Target Store security officer.

The suspect was seen concealing an assortment of CD`s and DVD movies from the Target Store. When the security office confronted the male at the front doors about the items, the crime turned from a shoplifting to an armed robbery.
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 20`s, with very short, almost shaven head.  He wore dark sunglasses, a black zip up sweatshirt and a black t-shirt.

12/11/2006 - Robbery-Purse Snatch 06-28765

Pueblo police need your help in identifying a suspect and his vehicle involved in a purse snatch on 12/11/06. According to police reports the victim was walking into a south side grocery store when a male suspect came up from behind her and grabbed her purse from her arm and took off running. The victim chased the male behind the building but lost sight of him behind the store.

The suspect was described as a tall slender Hispanic male in his late teens early 20`s, with short black wavy hair. The suspect was wearing a light blue Denver Nuggets Carmello Anthony #15 jersey, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The vehicle the suspect was riding in was described as a maroon late 90`s Chevy Lumina missing the left front hub cap. This vehicle was also seen driving around the parking lot of another south side grocery store prior to the robbery.
